The best festival in the world!
The summerparty at Giske is what happens when you have a good idea, a lot of friends, good music and good food. The festival started out as a beachparty where everyone brought their favorite food and music. With Giske`s beautiful location its not hard to tell that this was a night to remember, so we made it a tradition. An annual summerparty with focus on friendship, food, music and culture for everyone!
Last years Summerparty was a great success, the population of Giske increased by 20 times, 15.000 people came out to share their favorite food, listen to music and have fun! We had 50 acts spanning from local to international. The Summerparty's rumor has spread all over the country, and to the far ends of the world. This year we have artists visiting from Australia, UK and the US. These acts are complimented by a broad variety of local and national acts that represents whats «current» in the Norwegian music scene. But what really sets the Summerparty apart from other festivals is the entry fee, its free! We want to include everyone, so give what you can, and bring some good food!

2010 Line-Up
We are proud to present the best Summerparty line-up ever! The 2010 line-up includes international heavy-weights like Tom McRae and Damien Rice. Mark Kozelek is returning, and were looking foward to seeing him perform a great show, hopefully including the track «Ålesund» which he made after last years festival. This years line-up features more foreign artists than earlier years, but the core of the festival is still based on Norwegian bands and artists. We got everything from the dancy The New Wine, to noiserock from Serena Maneesh followed by Maria Mena's brilliant popmusic. The line-up is getting big at this point, but keep checking the mainsite for more updates. We got pretty much every genre covered this year, so you can surely find something to get fascinated by.
